KUALA LUMPUR: The Kuala Lumpur Local Plan 2040 (PTKL2040) aims to coordinate land use between the federal government and the public, promote technology-driven development, and protect both the environment and urban heritage, according to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The draft PTKL2040 introduces new measures such as redevelopment incentives, flexible plot ratio controls, and new land use zones to enhance the urban community’s well-being.
“The public is invited to attend the open day from this Thursday to next Friday, ahead of the plan’s official gazettement at the end of May,” the Prime Minister said in a Facebook post today.
Anwar also noted he had attended a PTKL2040 briefing, which emphasised sustainable and inclusive urban initiatives for the federal capital. – BERNAMA
