ZEEKR Intelligent Technology Malaysia (Zeekr Malaysia) recently organised the Zeekr 7X Beyond Drive Experience, a two-day controlled driving programme at Sepang Bay 13 off-road tanch.
The event brought together invited Zeekr 7X owners and members of the media to evaluate the vehicle’s performance across a range of on-road and off-road driving conditions.
It was designed to demonstrate the Zeekr 7X’s capabilities beyond everyday urban use, with emphasis on vehicle control, safety systems, ride comfort, and versatility.
All activities were conducted under the supervision of qualified professional driving instructors, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols while allowing participants to experience the vehicle’s performance in a controlled environment.
Participants undertook defensive and dynamic on-road driving exercises, including slalom manoeuvres, acceleration and braking zones, which highlighted steering precision, chassis balance, and braking efficiency.
The off-road segment comprised structured obstacle courses and uneven terrain trails replicating real-world conditions, including side slopes, steep hill climbs and descents, water wading, and uneven surfaces.
Key vehicle technologies such as the Zeekr Magic Carpet Suspension, Distributed Traction Control System and Hill Descent Control were demonstrated throughout the programme, showcasing stability, traction, and system responsiveness across varied terrains.
A rally-style taxi ride with a professional driver further illustrated the vehicle’s traction and composure on loose surfaces.
Zeekr Malaysia general manager Eddy Lu said the experience allowed participants to better understand how the Zeekr 7X performs across diverse driving environments while reinforcing confidence in its safety and control systems.
Overall, the programme reinforced the Zeekr 7X’s positioning as a premium electric SUV with advanced performance and safety capabilities suitable for a wide range of real-world driving conditions.
