Zahid regrets 'divided DAP' comment, aligns with Loke's statement

KUALA LUMPUR: president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said he did not intend to suggest the existence of factions within DAP.

Zahid said he regretted any offence caused and withdrew the remark, reiterating that it was never his intention to portray DAP as divided.

“If that offended DAP, I withdraw what I said, but it was never my intention to suggest that there are or exist two camps within the party concerned,” he said.

Zahid added that he agrees with DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke’s response, which stated that there was no “Team A” or “Team B” within his party.
