KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 9 — A woman was killed while two others, including a young girl, were injured after the car they were travelling in reportedly skidded and overturned at KM 44.2 of the Kuala Lumpur–Karak Expressway (KLK) near Genting Sempah, Bentong, today.
According to Sinar Harian, Pahang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) public relations officer Zulfadli Zakaria said the department received an emergency call at 8.04am.
Following the alert, a team from the Bentong Fire and Rescue Station was deployed to the scene, located about 30 kilometres from the station.
“Upon arrival, firefighters found a Perodua Bezza that had skidded and overturned, involving three victims.
“The team immediately extricated a victim who was trapped inside the vehicle using rescue equipment, but she was later pronounced dead by medical personnel,” he said, as reported by the national daily.
Zulfadli said the victim’s body was handed over to the police for further action, while the injured were sent to a nearby hospital for treatment.
