KUALA LUMPUR: Police are appealing to the public for information after an unidentified woman’s body was found near the Blue Water Estate roundabout in Seri Kembangan today.
Serdang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Muhamad Farid Ahmad said a call was made to the Serdang police station at about 3.45pm today reporting the discovery.
The caller, a man, informed police that the woman was found naked with her hands tied.
Initial checks showed the victim is about 144cm tall, has shoulder-length hair, long nails and a tattoo on her right arm, said Farid in a statement.
“She was also wearing silver earrings on both ears and green and red cloth bracelets,” he added.
Farid said the woman’s nationality has yet to be determined.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, which carries the death penalty upon conviction.
Police are urging those with information on the case to contact the nearest police station or the Serdang district police headquarters at 03-8074 2222.
