SEGAMAT: Police have detained a woman after she was found driving recklessly and against the flow of traffic, endangering other road users on Jalan Hassan, in front of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Bukit Hampar here.

The suspect, in her 40s, was arrested after her actions were captured in an 18-second video that went viral on Facebook yesterday afternoon.

Segamat district police chief, Superintendent Ahmad Zamry Marinsah, said in the video, the suspect was seen driving a blue Perodua Bezza and performing dangerous manoeuvres.

“The suspect was detained, and a urine screening test returned negative results. Further checks also revealed that she has no previous criminal record,” he said in a statement.
