KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 4 — The manager of Taiwanese influencer Hsieh Yu-hsin has accused Malaysian rapper Namewee of concealing the truth about her death, describing discrepancies between his statements and official police reports as “shocking.”

In a social media post, the manager, identified as Chris, said he had hired private investigators and contacted Malaysian police multiple times to clarify the circumstances surrounding Hsieh’s death but received conflicting information.

He said he had initially chosen to remain silent out of respect for Hsieh’s family and to avoid spreading unverified claims.

Chris revealed that he was first told Hsieh died from cardiac arrest and that the case was classified as an accident, but that account now conflicted with both police findings and Namewee’s public statement.

“The information we received has been contradictory and inconsistent,” he said, adding that the confusion had prevented the truth from emerging.

Chris then directly challenged Namewee to explain the discrepancies, accusing him of making statements that contradicted police records.

“What are you hiding? How much more truth have you left unsaid?” he asked.

He claimed to have never witnessed Hsieh engaging in drug use and questioned the source of a “suspected drug package” mentioned in reports.

Chris demanded to know whether Namewee had “induced, deceived, or forced” Hsieh to take any substance.

He said Hsieh’s family remained too grief-stricken to issue an official response and stressed that his own statement was made in a personal capacity as a long-time colleague seeking justice.

Chris pledged full cooperation with Malaysian legal and investigative authorities, saying the public deserved transparency and accountability.

“You will give a clear account to these questions — there will be no room to evade,” he wrote to Namewee.

According to media reports, Hsieh was found dead in a hotel bathtub while working on a video project with Namewee.

Namewee reportedly discovered Hsieh unresponsive in the bathroom, attempted CPR, and called emergency services at about 12.30pm.

On Sunday, Namewee denied the drug allegations as “baseless.”

Police later confirmed that he was arrested in connection with the incident and charged with two offences under Sections 39A(1) and 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act for possession and use of drugs.

He pleaded not guilty to both charges and was released on bail of RM4,000 for each offence.
