KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 16 — A female student who suffered a head injury earlier today in Sipitang was hurt in an accident while playing with friends at school, rather than as a result of bullying or a fight, the school’s headmaster has said.

Ag Ku Jainuddin Ag Wahab, headmaster of Padang Berampah National School (SK), said preliminary investigations found the student was injured during play, contradicting claims circulating on social media.

“The photo circulating online was taken while the student was on her way to the hospital for further treatment,” he said in a statement.

He added that the school had taken full responsibility for the incident and had acted promptly to ensure the student received medical attention.

Parents were informed of the situation, and the school reassured the public that student safety and welfare remained a priority.

“We will also implement measures to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future,” Ag Ku Jainuddin said.

Earlier today, a photo of a student in uniform with blood on her head went viral online, sparking speculation among internet users.

The incident occurred at around 11am at the primary school before the student was taken to hospital.
