Umno sets up committee to handle applications from new and returning members

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno will form a committee known as the Jawatankuasa Penyatuan Rumah Bangsa to handle applications for entry or re-entry from any parties, whether on an individual basis or as a bloc.

The announcement was made by Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi during his policy speech earlier today, which was met with cheers from delegates.
