NEW YORK, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) — The U.S. dollar weakened in late trading on Thursday.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, dropped 0.47 percent to 99.735 at 3 p.m. (2000 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro increased to 1.1544 dollars from 1.1486 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound rose to 1.3132 dollars from 1.3047 U.S. dollars in the previous session.
The U.S. dollar bought 153.14 Japanese yen, lower than 154.11 Japanese yen in the previous session. The U.S. dollar fell to 0.8066 Swiss francs from 0.8104 Swiss francs, and it was up to 1.4113 Canadian dollars from 1.4113 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar added to 9.5682 Swedish kronor from 9.5654 Swedish kronor.
