Tune Talk has upgraded its Epik+ prepaid plans with greater value. Its entry-level Epik+ plan has been replaced with a new option that costs RM3 more, but it comes with more data that’s also hotspot enabled.
For greater protection, Tune Talk has also increased its Personal Accident (PA) Insurance coverage up 3x at no extra cost.
As usual, these Epik+ prepaid plans are 5G enabled and there’s no speed cap.
Epik+ 25 replaced with Epik+ 28
As announced yesterday, Tune Talk is replacing the previous Epik+ 25 plan (RM25/month) to Epik+ 28 which costs RM28/month. This new entry-level option offers 50GB of 5G/4G data with uncapped speed and it also includes unlimited calls and hotspot usage.
Previously, base Epik+ 25 plan comes with 40GB of data and unlimited calls but without hotspot enabled.
If you need more data, there’s Epik+ 35 which offers 150GB of 5G/4G data for RM35/month and Epik+ 50 with 350GB of 5G/4G data for RM50/month. These two plans also provide in-app access to games and drama.
When it comes to 5G, these plans offer up to 900Mbps all day, depending on the 5G network coverage. Tune Talk is also bundling free 10 SMS to all networks.
With the new revision, all three Epik+ plans are now hotspot enabled but do note that the maximum number of devices supported depends on the plan.
According to the FAQ, only 1 device is permitted for hotspot under Epik+ 28. They offer two devices under Epik+ 35 and three devices under Epik+ 50.
For greater value, you can save more if you sign up with Tune Talk Epik+ for a longer duration. If you commit to 12 months, you can get RM26 off for Epik+ 28 or enjoy free 1 month on Epik+ 35 and Epik+ 50.
Tune Talk enhances free PA insurance coverage up to RM150,000
Since its launch in 2009, Tune Talk has been providing free PA insurance to its subscribers. To set a benchmark for value and protection in the prepaid market, the telco is increasing its PA insurance coverage to as high as RM150,000 at no extra cost.
Epik+ 35 plan now gets RM100,000 coverage (previously RM50,000) while Epik+ 50 now gets RM150,000 (previously RM50,000).
To enjoy this PA insurance protection, just activate Epik+ 35 or Epik+ 50 and remain active with top-ups for 60 consecutive days. Do note that subscribers who don’t maintain active prepaid status within the 60-day period are not eligible.
Meanwhile, existing subscribers of Epik+ 35 or Epik+ 50 are automatically eligible for the enhanced coverage.
