SHAH ALAM: Three men have been arrested after a high-speed chase that involved five police patrol cars in Klang.
South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Ramli Kasa said police on patrol spotted the vehicle with the three suspects near the Jalan Kebun roundabout in Klang at about 11.15pm on Thursday (Sept 18).
He said the driver sped away when the officers signalled them to stop.
“Five police patrol cars were involved in the chase before the vehicle was successfully stopped at Bandar Sentosa, Klang.
“Three suspects, all locals aged from 31 to 43, were arrested,” he said in a statement on Friday (Sept 19), adding that a parang and a pair of gloves were also seized.
Ramli said all suspects have criminal records, adding the driver’s had a record of 23 crimes as well as 11 drug-related offences.
He said all suspects would be remanded for four days until Sept 22 and the case is being investigated under Section 186 of the Penal Code, Section 6(1) of the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act 1958, and Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
