KUALA LUMPUR:- The public is invited to attend the two-day MOT Mini Carnival: Meet the Customers and Career Carnival Day, which began on Sunday (Sept 28) at the Gombak Integrated Terminal (TBG) from 10am to 6pm with entrance free-of-charge.

The Transport Ministry said in a statement that various exciting activities are being held for visitors, including employment opportunities, Rahmah sales, a lucky draw, as well as interactive exhibitions and digital entertainment.

Other events lined up include the helmet-exchange programme by the Road Transport Department (JPJ), police summons payment counters, career exhibition, digital exhibition, sports competition and video games like Roblox and Nintendo Switch.

In the Career Carnival, the public will be exposed to employment opportunities in the transport, logistics and mobility sectors, including information on career paths, qualifications and skills required by the industry.

The digital exhibition segment, meanwhile, provides opportunities for visitors to try out for themselves the various applications, as well as online services offered by the ministry and its agencies, in line with the country’s digitalisation aspirations.

The collaboration with the Education Department also allows for the involvement of students from schools, vocational colleges and institutions of higher learning in various educational activities to nurture their interests in the fields of transportation, logistics and mobility.

This will also indirectly help produce a highly knowledgeable and skilled workforce in the future.

“This Mini Carnival serves as a people-friendly platform that directly connects the ministry with the community to enable them to express their views, obtain information and settle matters with officers from the ministry and related agencies.

“This approach not only facilitates the people, but also increases confidence in the ministry as a transparent, friendly and accessible public service provider,” it added.

The ministry said the launching ceremony will be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ibrahim on Monday, attended by Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook. – Bernama
