TQ Wuling Bingo EV is now officially available in Malaysia, seven months after it was first announced for our market. The new compact electric hatchback is essentially the second true sub-RM100k EV in Malaysia after its close rival, the Proton e.MAS 5.
The launch of Bingo also marked TQ Wuling’s entry into the EV and passenger car markets in Malaysia. That being said, the company, which was born through a collaboration between Tan Chong Motor and SAIC-GM-Wuling, is already looking to expand its offering very soon.
TQ Wuling Bingo Malaysia Pricing

TQ Wuling Bingo can be obtained in two variants in Malaysia:
- TQ Wuling Bingo Pro: RM62,800
- TQ Wuling Bingo Max: RM67,800
The pricing above is already inclusive of the RM5,000 launch rebate for the first 500 customers. Before you ask: Yes, all the pricing mentioned here COVERS the EV’s battery as well.
TQ Wuling Bingo Malaysia Launch Package

Aside from the RM5,000 launch rebate, the first 500 customers will also be provided with a 7kW home charger, a portable 3-pin charger, and a premium tinting package. There is also a special EV-focused insurance perk and monthly instalment rates from as low as RM625 per month.

At the moment, you can check out the new EV at 5 TQ Wuling showrooms around Peninsular Malaysia, including Glenmarie, Jalan Raja Laut KL, OUG KL, Melati Utama KL, Butterworth Penang, and Johor Jaya, with more to be opened in the near future.

As for warranty, the Bingo is covered by a 5-year / 150,000km vehicle warranty. There is also a separate 8-year / 120,000km warranty for its high-voltage battery and an 8-year / 160,000km warranty for the electric motor.
TQ Wuling Bingo Malaysia Quick Specs

You might not be able to tell from the outside, but the Bingo is actually a 4-seater EV since there is no centre seat belt for the rear passengers. It didn’t really come as a surprise for us, though, given that the Bingo is physically smaller than the Proton e.MAS 5.
Here’s a quick comparison of their dimensions:

- Wheelbase: 2,560mm

Proton e.MAS 5
- 5-seater EV
- Dimensions: 4,135mm x 1,805mm x 1,580mm
- Wheelbase: 2,650mm
- Boot Space: 375L – 1,320L

In terms of performance, the Bingo is equipped with a 50kW motor that also produces 150Nm of torque. The 0-50km/h and 0-100km/h figures for the Malaysian variant were not revealed, but we were told that the EV can reach a top speed of around 130km/h.

Being a front-wheel drive vehicle, the Bingo does not come with a frunk. Again, this didn’t surprise us, although the motor bay appeared to have enough space for one.
The biggest differentiator between the two Bingo variants for Malaysia is the capacity of their LFP-based Magic battery, which also affects their range.

Specifically, the Bingo Pro comes with a 31.9kWh battery, which allows it to deliver a CLTC-rated range of 333km or around 270km of WLTP-estimated range. As for the higher-end Bingo Max, it has been fitted with a 37.9kWh battery pack and is capable of delivering a CLTC-rated range of 410km or around 335km of WLTP-estimated range.

When it comes to charging, both Bingo variants support a DC charging speed of 50kW, which allows their battery to reach 30% to 80% in less than 35 minutes. They also support AC charging speed of 7kW, which allows the Pro variant to be fully charged in 4.5 hours or 5.5 hours for the Max variant.
