KUALA LUMPUR: Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected to affect eight states, as well as the Federal Territories of Putrajaya and Labuan until 7pm Saturday (Dec 20).
According to a warning issued by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) at 3:45pm Saturday, the adverse weather is expected to hit Perak, affecting Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang, and Muallim; Kelantan (Jeli and Kuala Krai); and Port Dickson in Negri Sembilan.

The same warning was for Pahang (Maran, Kuantan, Pekan, and Rompin), Selangor (Hulu Selangor, Klang, Petaling, Kuala Langat, and Sepang), and Johor, covering the districts of Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, and Johor Baru.
In Sarawak, the affected areas are expected to include Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei (Pakan and Julau), Sibu (Kanowit and Selangau), Mukah, Kapit (Song), Bintulu, Miri (Subis, Miri, and Marudi), and Limbang.
Meanwhile, similar weather conditions are forecast for Sabah, involving the Inland Division (Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Keningau, and Tambunan), the West Coast, Sandakan (Tongod, Telupid, Kinabatangan, and Beluran), and Kudat. – Bernama
