500km and 600km range not enough? Tesla Malaysia has recently introduced the Model 3 Long Range RWD with an impressive WLTP-rated range of 750km. On a single charge, this EV can get you from Johor Bahru to Sungai Petani and it has enough range to do return trip from Kuala Lumpur to George Town.
Priced below RM200,000, the Model 3 Long Range RWD is a fully electric sedan that squashes range anxiety.
The first batch of the Tesla Model 3 Long Range RWD has arrived in Malaysia and here’s our first look. In addition, Tesla has also updated its Model 3 lineup with extra add-ons and a lower starting price of RM169,000.

The interior comes in black and you can choose to switch to Black and White interior for an additional RM5,000. The interior looks similar to the base Model 3 RWD and this also includes textile door trims and 9-speaker setup.
In terms of performance, the Long Range RWD gets a more powerful 235kW (315hp) rear motor. It can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 5.2 seconds, and it has a top speed of 201km/h. It is quicker than the standard RWD model which has a 0-100km/h time of 6.1 seconds.

For AC charging, it remains unchanged with the onboard charger capable of up to 11kW.

By default, the Model 3 comes with Basic Autopilot which provides adaptive cruise control and auto steer. You can upgrade to Enhanced Autopilot package for RM16,000 which enables more features including autopark, dumb summon, assisted lane change and navigate on autopilot.
Meanwhile, the Full Self-Driving capability costs RM32,000 but take note that the features are still subject to local Malaysian regulatory approval.
Tesla Malaysia is doing a last call promo as the current EV Tax Holiday for CBU EVs is set to end on 31st December 2025. The government has yet to reveal the new taxation details for fully imported EVs starting 1st January 2026. Tesla reckons that buyers can save at least RM20,000 if they order, register and deliver their EV by the end of this year.
They are running a switcher campaign where you can get RM7,500 uplift when you trade in your internal combustion engine powered vehicle, or a special interest rate as low as 0%. Tesla Malaysia is also offering a free wallbox charger worth RM2,880.
