Federal government allocates RM18.88 million to Terengganu for 2025 Food Security Cooperation Programme, funding 21 agricultural projects.
KUALA TERENGGANU: The federal government has allocated RM18.88 million to Terengganu for the 2025 Food Security Cooperation Programme.
This joint initiative involves the state government and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.
State Agriculture, Agro-Based Industry, Food Security and Commodities Committee chairman Datuk Dr Azman Ibrahim said 21 projects have been implemented or are ongoing this year to support the programme.

One project involves upgrading the Rhu Tapai Permanent Food Production Park in Setiu with an allocation of RM430,000.
“TKPM Rhu Tapai work progress has reached 75% and is scheduled for completion on Dec 7,” he told the Terengganu State Legislative Assembly.
Azman noted the state government is implementing an initiative to increase ruminant livestock population.
This involves importing cattle breeds from overseas with an allocation of RM2 million.
He confirmed that 136 Brahman and Limousin cattle recently arrived in Terengganu for breeding purposes under this project. – Bernama
