Teluk Bahang – Balik Pulau route to close until Sunday due to landslide

GEORGE TOWN: The Public Works Department (PWD) has announced the closure of Federal Road FT006, the road encircling the island from Teluk Bahang to Balik Pulau, starting today until this Sunday.

It said the road closure was due to landslides that occurred yesterday and today along the route.

“The road will be closed from 6pm today until 6pm this Sunday to allow for road-cleaning works and other related maintenance,” it said in a statement on its social media page today.

It advised road users in the affected area to cooperate throughout the duration of the closure.
