BUTTERWORTH: A telecommunications antenna collapsed at Wisma EMC, Jalan Baru in Prai here this evening, landing on two parked vehicles.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
State Fire and Rescue Department operations division assistant director John Sagun Francis said they received a distress call at 6.12pm and rushed to the scene.
“The fallen antenna struck two cars — a Perodua Myvi and a Perodua Bezza. Both vehicles were unoccupied at the time of the incident.
“Firefighters worked swiftly to remove the collapsed structure and secure the area from any further hazards,” he said in a statement.
John said the operation concluded at 6.53pm.
