Actor Syafiq Kyle has revealed that he and his wife, Mimi Lana, would love to have twins.
The 33-year-old artiste, whose full name is Mohd Syafiq Shamim Abdul Razak, said this has been Mimi’s dream for a long time.
“We did talk about having twins because that’s what Mimi wanted. So, I’m asking everyone to pray for us, as it’s something she’s wanted since before we were married,” he said during the recent launch of his latest film, ‘Malaikat Malam’.
Mimi, whose real name is Mimi Rozaiana Zainal Abidin, 30, also recently shared her wish to have twins on social media and asked for prayers from the public.
Syafiq added that his wife’s post was not just a personal expression but an effort to spread a positive message on social media.
“I asked her why she posted that, and she said it was because there have been so many hateful, gossipy, and controversial posts lately. She wanted to spread something positive.
“If many people pray for good things, maybe they will come true. I think what she did was a good thing,” he said.
Syafiq also supports his wife’s efforts, saying that he is well aware of the many serious and sad issues occurring in the country lately.
“Over the past month or two, there have been a lot of cases like murder and bullying. It makes me sad to see all of that. If anyone could speak out, they would use that method.
“But there are also people who don’t know how to speak up, so I’m happy when someone can spread a positive aura,” he said.
Meanwhile, filming for the action horror film, ‘Malaikat Malam’, concluded last week.
A co-production between Viper Studios and Skop Productions, the film is the directorial debut of Nazifdin Nasrudin, who was assisted by advisory director Syafiq Yusof.
It also stars Tracie Sinidol, Amir Nafis, Juzzthin, and Kodi Rasheed.
