PETALING JAYA:

The four Form 5 students suspected of gang raping a teenager at a school in Melaka will be charged today at a magistrates’ court in the state.

In a statement, the Attorney-General’s Chambers said it found sufficient grounds to charge the suspects after reviewing the investigation paper.

It said that the four suspects would be charged under the Penal Code with gang rape and carnal intercourse against the order of nature.

They will also be charged with physical sexual assault on a child.

It was previously reported that the 15-year-old victim was gang raped on Oct 2, while she was on her way to her classroom to retrieve something she had left behind.

Two of the suspects reportedly watched and recorded the incident on their mobile phones, and the videos were later circulated online.
