Sofia Rini Buyong freed after MACC remand ends

PUTRAJAYA: Sofia Rini Buyong, the woman linked to a video clip showing a conversation with businessman Albert Tei regarding corruption, was released after her remand period ended today.

The release was confirmed by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki.

“Her remand ends today and will not be extended,” he said briefly when contacted.
