November 2025 is a busy month for the tech industry in Malaysia. We saw the launch of flagship smartphones from brands such as Oppo, as well as Vivo, which just launched the X300 series earlier today. Now, OnePlus’ latest flagship, the OnePlus 15, has also made its official arrival in Malaysia.

Like the Oppo Find X9 series, the OnePlus 15 has abandoned the rear circular camera island design of its past few generations of predecessors and has now adopted a new square design instead.

At the front, you get a 6.78″ QHD+ LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 2772×1272 pixels. This is smaller and slightly lower res than the OnePlus 13, but the OnePlus 15’s refresh rate can now go up to 165Hz when gaming.

Powering the OnePlus 15 is one of the most powerful mobile chipsets out there, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. This is paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage here in Malaysia.

In the imaging department, you get a triple 50MP camera setup, similar to its predecessor. This includes a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS, a 50MP f/2.0 ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a 50MP f/2.8 OIS-enabled periscope telephoto sensor that can do 3.5x optical zoom. You can even record videos at up to 8k 30fps, and take selfies using the 32MP f/2.4 front camera.

However, unlike its predecessor and the Oppo Find X9 series, the OnePlus 15 no longer gets the Hasselblad treatment, which probably means the camera on OnePlus’ latest flagship has been self-developed by the company. We will have to give it some more in-depth testing to find out how its cameras fare.

Battery-wise, the OnePlus 15 is equipped with a 7,300mAh silicon-carbon cell, which is a significant upgrade from the OnePlus 13’s 6,000mAh unit. Charging speeds have also received a bump to 120W via the company’s wired Supervooc tech, while wireless charging remains at 50W, which is still plenty respectable.

The OnePlus 15 runs on OxygenOS 16, which is based on Android 16. And for connectivity, you get WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and even an infrared sensor to control your home appliances, like a boss.
