Two local media outlets have been slapped with RM100,000 fines over the incorrect display of the Jalur Gemilang on their website, and for uploading inaccurate information about the inspector-general of police (IGP) on their Instagram page, respectively.
MCMC said in a statement today that Sin Chew Media Corporation Berhad and Sinar Karangkraf Sdn Bhd that the fines were imposed after being authorised by the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC).
