POPULAR actor and comedian Zizan Razak has laughed off his latest fan-bestowed title: ‘President of Singles’. The 41-year-old star expressed his amusement at the cheeky nod to his long-standing bachelor status, admitting he was oblivious to the label until it went viral.
“I’m happy to take on the presidency! If I am the president, I’ll start opening up memberships,” he quipped when met recently.
“It’ll be the ‘President of Singles Group.’ In short: leave us alone. I’ll make sure to vet everyone to ensure they are truly single. No troublemakers allowed.”
Addressing the recent frenzy surrounding a viral photo of him with a woman in a hijab, Zizan clarified that the “mystery lady” was merely a digital illusion.
Knowing how much fans yearn for him to settle down, Zizan decided to lean into the speculation with an Artificial Intelligence (AI) prank.
“The photo was just for entertainment,” Zizan explained.
“I had asked Jaa Suzuran to generate an AI image of a woman, and I didn’t expect him to do it so quickly. When I posted it, I was stunned to see it hit five million views. I didn’t want to delete it after that; it was all a bit of a laugh.”
While he remains single, Zizan acknowledges the genuine well-wishes from the public.
“I know many people want to see me married. I’m praying for that too.
“I’m at the right age; I just haven’t met the right person yet. Rest assured, when the time comes, I’ll make an announcement.”
