KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Uqasha Senrose has issued an apology for her recent social media posts, which allegedly caused offence and touched on the sensitivities of various parties, including her own family.
In a video shared on Instagram (IG), Uqasha, whose real name is Nik Zaris Uqasha Nik Sen, 33, admitted she takes full responsibility for everything she shared without thinking twice.
“I want to apologise to everyone who has watched my previous videos, pictures, or captions that may have angered or embarrassed anyone. I had absolutely no intention of hurting anyone,” she said.
In the video, Uqasha was accompanied by her mother, Rosmizai Mohd Noor, as well as an individual known as a ‘Divorce Coach’.
She explained that her actions were taken during a time when she was feeling emotional and irrational.
“I shouldn’t have talked about marriage in general. I admit it was my own mistake. At that time, I was angry, sad, and too tired, so I acted emotionally. But none of that is an excuse; I still apologise,” she said.
Uqasha expressed regret for her actions and realised she should have handled her domestic issues more maturely and privately.
“I should have handled this matter calmly and privately. What happened was my own fault. Now I want to focus on myself, improve my weaknesses, become a strong woman, and a better mother,” she added.
Uqasha had previously attracted attention after posting on Instagram, claiming she had been “fooled” by her husband, actor Kamal Adli, and his family regarding their wedding date.
In the post, Uqasha claimed they were married on Nov 5, 2021, at 9am, but that the date on the marriage certificate showed Nov 4, 2021, at 9.30pm.
However, a check has found that the post has since been deleted from her Instagram account.
