KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran comedian Sathiya, 61, who was treated at Ampang Hospital, has been allowed to return home since last Sunday.
Sathiya or Sathia Periasamy said that he was happy to be out of the hospital and was now resting at home.
“I have been out of the hospital for a week, and my health is also good because only three toes were amputated.
“My appetite is also good and I have also been eating as usual,” he told Harian Metro.
Sathiya will undergo a re-examination at the hospital on Wednesday.
“I will go to the hospital again because the doctor wants to check whether two of the three amputated toes are infected.
“I can also walk, but slowly, and can still act even though I have to sit in a wheelchair.
“I have finished filming two dramas, including one in Tamil, before being treated in the hospital,” he said.
Sathiya was treated at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) due to a stroke last year.
His daughter Amani, 36, said that he had also been diagnosed with diabetes and had suffered from high blood pressure for several years.
