PUTRAJAYA: Actress Hannah Delisha has dismissed swirling rumours that her marriage to fellow actor Imam Shah is on the rocks.
The speculation was ignited by a simple misunderstanding involving a hotel welcome card during their New Year celebrations.
The 30-year-old artiste, whose real name is Hannah Adlina Blackburne Birch, explained that the “Miss Hanna” moniker printed on the card was merely a logistical quirk from a surprise booking made by her husband.
“My husband actually booked the room as a surprise for us to ring in the New Year together. He made the reservation under my name,” she said.
She added that the hotel staff likely used the title because they were unfamiliar with her stage name or official records, leading to the “Miss Hanna” greeting that caught the eyes of eagle-eyed netizens.
Speaking at the Bulan Bintang: The Next Chapter Fashion Show 2026 yesterday, the Aku Cinta Dia star admitted she was surprised that such a trivial matter could escalate into a social media storm. However, she chose to remain unfazed by the chatter.
“I was quite shocked that something like this became an issue, but I understand why some netizens might jump to conclusions. I don’t feel the need to explain every single detail. If people choose to believe certain things, I don’t mind,” she said calmly.
Known for her guarded nature, Hannah reiterated her preference for keeping her private life away from the digital spotlight.
She noted that her long-time followers are well aware that she rarely shares personal milestones unless they pertain to her professional career.
“Sometimes I share lighthearted moments. For New Year, we just had a low-key celebration at the hotel—relaxing, hitting the gym, and dining out,” she added.
Hannah maintained that her Instagram posts are straightforward and lack any hidden meanings, seeing no reason to justify her personal posts to the public.
Hannah and Singaporean actor Imam Shah tied the knot in Feb 2021.
