KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Fattah Amin, 35, believes his daughter, Nur Fatima Aisya, 5, was reluctant to be separated from him at his wedding to Amira Othman, 32, because she missed him.
Fattah, whose full name is Abdul Fattah Mohd Amin, said he was surprised by his daughter’s reaction, as she clung to him and didn’t want to let go.
“It’s true, she didn’t want to let me go. She must have thought her daddy had disappeared because he was away at the time.
“Maybe she missed me a lot,” ,” Fattah told Harian Metro.
“So when she saw me, she immediately hugged me. We didn’t expect her to hold on so tightly and not let go. But that was probably just because she missed me.
“I always miss her too. But thank God, Amira is a very accepting and understanding person.”
Fattah added that his priority was to see his wife and daughter happy at the wedding, and he was grateful that everything went well.
“Our rehearsal wasn’t like that,” he said, referring to Fatima’s reaction.
“But everything happened as it was destined to. What’s important is that Amira is happy and Fatima is happy; that’s all that matters,” he said.
Fattah and Amira were happily married in a solemnisation ceremony held at the Golden Palm Tree Bagan Lalang last night.
With a single lafaz, Fattah legally became Amira’s husband at exactly 9.08pm, officiated by former Federal Territory mufti Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al Bakri.
For the wedding, Amira, whose full name is Nadia Amira Othman, received a bracelet as a dowry.
Fattah was previously married to actress Nur Fazura in 2017, and they divorced on Oct 7 last year.
The share one daughter, Nur Fatima Aisya.
The wedding ceremony for Fattah and Amira was a lively event attended by family and close friends from both sides and broadcast live on Unifi TV.
