KUALA LUMPUR: Fattah Amin’s presence at his future wife, Amira Othman’s Quran khatam ceremony added to the excitement of fans, just hours before they were due to be united in marriage.
At the ceremony, Fattah, 35, wore a nude-coloured robe that matched Amira’s, along with a white skullcap.
A video shared on Unifi TV’s Instagram account shows Amira, 31, introducing her husband-to-be to a guest, believed to be a close family member.
Meanwhile, actress Datin Paduka Umie Aida shared a photo with the couple on Instagram after the ceremony.
“God willing, in a few hours, my colleagues will become housemates who will build a household of sakinah mawaddah, warahmah. Amen,” she wrote, using terms that signify a serene and compassionate marriage in Islam.
Fans have also expressed their excitement. One commented, “What time is the wedding ceremony, everyone? I’m so excited to see people get married.”
Fattah and Amira’s wedding ceremony, rumoured to be taking place at a hotel with a sunset backdrop, is scheduled to be broadcast live at 8pm tonight.
According to reports, marriage consultant Reka Teemor chose the ‘Zaus’ concept, which is symbolic of a divinely destined couple and has Islamic characteristics.
