SHAH ALAM: Popular actress Emma Maembong has denied rumours that she is getting married to DJ Kidd. Speculation began circulating after a video of her wearing a bridal-themed outfit went viral.
Emma, 33, whose full name is Fatimah Rohani Ismail, clarified that her outfit was simply for the theme of an event she attended.
“That was the theme of the programme. Everyone dressed in a bridal theme, not just me. That night, even Kak KM (an entrepreneur and influencer) wore the same type of outfit,” she said.
“I wouldn’t wear a wedding dress to go out for a walk; no one has ever done that,” she added, speaking at the premiere of the final episode of Seandanya Kita at the W Factory Event Space.
When asked about her rumoured relationship with DJ Kidd, Emma chose not to comment further, hinting that she isn’t ready to end her single status.
“I don’t talk about personal matters. Right now, I prefer to see other couples happy. I’m happy too,” she said.
Earlier, a video shared by DJ Kidd on social media showed the pair in matching black songket outfits, sparking rumors that they were attending a wedding dress fitting.
Emma married Muhammad Shazli Azhar in 2020, but they divorced last October. They have two sons, Shariq Gabriel, 5, and Shakil Aryan Shah, 2.
