#SHOWBIZ: Che Ta's son Ammar Effendy gets engaged

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular actress and entrepreneur Rozita Che Wan, 51, affectionately known as Che Ta, is preparing to welcome a daughter-in-law after her eldest son, Ammar Effendy, became engaged in a private ceremony in Shah Alam last night.

The engagement ceremony, which took place in a joyous atmosphere, was attended by the close family and friends of both parties, as seen in several posts shared on Instagram Stories (IGs).

However, Che Ta has chosen not to reveal further details about the ceremony, including the identity of the woman who captivated her eldest son.

The actress, known for the drama series Kiah Pekasam, also shared several photos and videos from the event, showing herself looking elegant in a golden-yellow dress that matched the rest of the family.

Meanwhile, Ammar looked smart in a pink traditional Malay suit, which perfectly complemented his fiancée.

Ammar also reposted several images on IGs, including photos of himself with his fiancée that were shared by friends and family members.

It is understood that Ammar’s biological father, Azuar Effendy Zulkaply, was also present at the ceremony, contributing to a harmonious family atmosphere.

Ammar is the child from Che Ta’s first marriage to Azuar in 1995.

The couple, who separated in 2003, are blessed with two sons: Ammar Effendy and Aniq Ezzra.

Che Ta later married actor Zain Saidin in 2013, and they have an 11-year-old daughter, Aaisyah Dhia Rana.
