KUALA LUMPUR: The long-cherished dreams of the Malaysian ARMY are finally manifesting into reality.
After an agonizing 11-year hiatus since their last performance in Kuala Lumpur in 2015, the global K-pop juggernaut BTS has officially confirmed their return to Malaysia.
The group is set to take over the capital with two exclusive concert dates on Dec 12 and Dec 13 in 2026, marking a historic highlight of their massive 2026–2027 world tour.
This announcement from BIGHIT MUSIC signals a triumphant new era for the popular septet.
With all seven members having fulfilled their mandatory military obligations, the group is now operating at full throttle.
The tour serves as the grand stage for their highly anticipated reunion, following a comeback single scheduled to drop on March 20.
The scale of this global trek is nothing short of breathtaking. Spanning five continents, the tour will visit 34 cities for a total of 79 shows.
The journey begins on home soil in Goyang, South Korea, with three opening performances on April 9, 11, and 12, before sweeping through Japan and North America.
The Western leg is particularly ambitious, covering 12 cities and 28 shows, culminating in a spectacular four-night finale in Los Angeles.
European fans will see the group in June and July across iconic cities like London and Paris, followed by a dedicated run through Latin America.
However, for local enthusiasts, the excitement reaches a fever pitch in December when the Asia-Pacific leg brings the icons back to Malaysian shores.
According to organisers, this tour will offer a revolutionary viewing experience.
Breaking away from traditional stage designs, BTS will utilize a 360-degree “in-the-round” set-up placed at the heart of the venue.
This immersive format is designed to bring the performers closer to the audience from every angle, an ambitious technical feat that remains a rarity in the K-pop sphere.
While specific venue details and ticket prices for the Kuala Lumpur shows remain under wraps, Live Nation Malaysia has assured fans that “further information will be shared soon.”
As is standard for a production of this magnitude, competition for seats will be fierce.
Official “ARMY MEMBERSHIP” holders on the Weverse platform will be granted priority access through an exclusive presale before the remaining tickets are released to the general public.
For a group that has spent 100 per cent of their career breaking records and defying expectations, this return to Malaysia is more than just a concert; it is a homecoming.
As the 2026 schedule wraps up with four nights in Singapore and two in Jakarta, the Malaysian dates stand as a testament to the enduring bond between the group and one of their most loyal fanbases in the region.
