KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia International Healthcare (MIH) Megatrends 2025 will convene global and local healthcare leaders next week to explore innovative solutions for building resilient and sustainable health systems.
Organised by the Health Ministry in collaboration with KPJ Healthcare Bhd, the three-day conference carries the theme “Innovating for a Healthier, Sustainable Future”, reflecting the urgent need to address demographic shifts, rising chronic diseases, climate-related health risks, and rapid technological change.
KPJ Healthcare said in a statement the event, scheduled for Nov 25-27 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, breakout sessions and cross-disciplinary forums.
“The programme is centred on sustainability, non-communicable diseases (NCD) and public health, reflecting the need for long-term solutions that strengthen prevention, improve population health and support more resilient healthcare systems, while positioning Malaysia as an emerging hub for regional health dialogue,” it added.
Topics will include AI-enabled personalised medicine, value-based healthcare, oncology innovation, climate and health governance, neuroscience, and sustainable system planning, with a strong focus on integrated, patient-centred care.
The conference will host international experts from the United Kingdom, the United States, Belgium, South Korea, the Netherlands, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia, alongside leading Malaysian healthcare figures such as health director-general Datuk Dr Mahathar Abd Wahab and IJN Holdings group chief executive officer Professor Datuk Seri Dr Mohamed Ezani Md Taib.
KPJ Healthcare said MIH 2025 marks an important milestone in Malaysia’s healthcare reform journey as outlined in the Health White Paper.
“It provides a platform for countries, organisations and experts to exchange ideas, strengthen cooperation and contribute solutions for more resilient, equitable and sustainable health systems.”
