SEREMBAN: Two motorcyclists were killed in separate accidents here and in Kuala Pilah on Tuesday (Sept 23).
In the first accident around 1.15pm, a motorcyclist in his 40s was killed when he crashed into a lorry coming out of a junction near the Labu quarry.
Nilai OCPD Supt Abdul Malik Hasim said the victim was heading towards Seremban from Nilai while the lorry was heading in the opposite direction when the accident happened.
The victim died on the spot.
Supt Abdul Malik urged eyewitnesses to contact investigating officer Insp Muhammad Farid Danial Azli at 012-9122198 to assist in investigations.
In the second accident, which occurred around 3.10pm at KM3 of Jalan Kuala Pilah-Senaling, a 38-year-old motorcyclist was also killed on the spot when he crashed into the rear of a four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle.
Kuala Pilah OCPD Supt Muhamad Mustafah Hussin said both vehicles were heading towards Kuala Pilah when the accident happened.
“Based on the preliminary probe, the 4WD driver had decelerated as the vehicles in front of him were slowing down, causing the motorcyclist to rear-end him,” he said.
Both cases are being probed under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
