KLANG: Dressed in matching Malay wedding attire, the Raja Muda Tengku Amir Shah and his wife Datin Paduka Seri Afzaa Fadini Abdul Aziz were picture perfect for their bersanding ceremony.

The couple made a head-turning grand entrance into Istana Alam Shah’s Balairung Seri where the bersanding and merenjis ceremony were being held on Wednesday (Oct 22).

Those blessing the newly married couple during the merenjis ceremony did so by sprinkling the couple with bunga rampai and scented water.

Leading the ceremony was Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah and Tengku Permaisuri Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin.

Next in line was the Raja Muda’s mother Che Puan Nur Lisa Abdullah.

She was followed by senior members of the royal family such as Sultan Sharafuddin’s brothers and the Raja Muda’s two sisters and their respective spouses.

Once the Selangor royals completed the merenjis ceremony, the bride’s parents Datuk Abdul Aziz Mat and Datin Rosmawati Ismail showered the couple with their blessings.

Tengku Amir Shah is Sultan Sharafuddin’s youngest of three children and only son whilst Datin Paduka Seri Afzaa Fadini is the youngest child and only girl amongst three siblings.
