KINABATANGAN: Seat negotiations between Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan for the upcoming Sabah state election are still underway, says Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.
“Not yet… maybe 65% only so far,” the Sabah Barisan chief said when asked whether discussions with Pakatan were already finalised.
He said this when met at a Felcra event here, Saturday (Nov 1).
When pressed on whether a failure to conclude negotiations could result in both sides clashing in certain seats, he dismissed the possibility.
He said both sides are continuing talks and are committed to avoiding overlaps.
Bung’s response, however, contradicts Sabah Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) chief Datuk Mustapha Sakmud’s remarks that negotiations between Pakatan and Barisan have been finalised, with only one seat left to resolve in talks with Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS).
