KUCHING, Sept 25 — A total of 231 individuals were honoured with state awards by the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Pehin Sri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar at an investiture ceremony held at the State Legislative Assembly Complex here today.
Heading the list of recipients was Sarawak Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) director Hasbilah Mohamad Salleh, who was among 23 individuals conferred the Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (PBK).
This was followed by 31 recipients of the Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (PPB), including Kabong district officer Tahir Mohd Sharee.
Meanwhile, 20 individuals were awarded the Ahli Bintang Sarawak (ABS), while 34 received the Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (ABK).
The Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (PPT) went to 62 individuals, and 61 were honoured with the Bentara Bintang Sarawak (BBS).
The investiture ceremony recognised the recipients’ notable contributions in public administration, education, security, industry, and community service.
Present to witness the ceremony were Wan Junaidi’s wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi; State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar; Deputy State Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Datuk Len Talif Salleh; Deputy State Minister for Women and Childhood Development Datuk Rosey Yunus; and heads of departments. — The Borneo Post
