KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s world No. 67 Sanjay Jeeva was upset 11-8, 11-8, 11-5 by France’s world No. 88 Edwin Clain in the first round of the Squash On Fire in Washington yesterday.
Sanjay, 25, had also lost to Clain in five games in the Liverpool Cricket Club Open second round last month.
Malaysia’s world No. 10 Ng Eain Yow, who received a first round bye, will face American world No. 60 Shahjahan Khan in the second round today,
In the women’s competition, world No. 20 Rachel Arnold, who also received a bye, will play England’s world No. 55 Alicia Mead in the second round.
