Samaiden secures RM290mil EPCC contract for LSSPV plant in perak

KUALA LUMPUR: Clean energy services company, Samaiden Group Bhd, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Samaiden Sdn Bhd (SSB), has accepted a letter of award (LOA) from Unique HEB Energy Sdn Bhd (UHESB) for a works contract in Hilir Perak worth RM290 million.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Samaiden said SSB will undertake engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) works for the development of a 95 megawatt alternating current (MWac) large-scale solar photovoltaic (LSSPV) power plant, approved by the Energy Commission in December 2024 under the LSS5 programme.

“The commencement of works shall be upon the signing of the LOA, and UHESB and SSB shall, within 60 days from the acceptance of LOA or such other extended date as may be mutually agreed, enter into an EPCC contract,” it said.

Samaiden said that, barring any unforeseen circumstances, the LOA will not affect the company’s share capital and shareholding structure.

“It is expected to contribute positively to the group’s future earnings during the duration of the LOA,” it added.
