KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Barisan Nasional has launched an AI chatbot to introduce their candidates for the state elections and allow users to submit questions about the party manifesto, among other matters.
The chatbot, which can be accessed on the www.prnsabah.com website and the BNComm Sabah Facebook account starting Nov 12, and is part of the party’s strategy to get closer to young voters and use technology in party campaigns.
The chatbot will allow the public to get accurate information about the party, candidates, policies and other related issues, including debunking fake news.
Barisan chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamid said this underscores Barisan’s commitment to adapt to technology and the needs of the younger generation.
He added this also shows Barisan is a party that adapts to technological changes and meets the aspirations of the people.
Earlier, Zahid chaired an Umno supreme council working committee and Barisan Nasional supreme council meeting with party leaders, including MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong and Sabah Barisan chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.
Barisan will announce their candidates for the Nov 29 Sabah Election on Sunday (Nov 9).
