KOTA KINABALU: The exit of two component parties of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) is a clear sign that there is a crisis of confidence even before the elections, says Sabah Barisan Nasional chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.

“GRS today has already broken up due to a crisis of confidence among themselves, even before the election,” he said after the Sabah meeting that was held for the first time after the dissolution of the Sabah assembly on Oct 6.

Bung was referring to the exit of Sabah STAR and Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) from the coalition on Oct 1.

What was more clear is the people’s confidence towards GRS which has been lost because of their inability to govern the state, manage the economy and resolve the people’s issues, he said.

Bung is confident that voters today are wise to choose candidates and the parties that can deliver high impact policies that transcend into results.

He said that Barisan Nasional has already put in place a new manifesto that is doable, and focuses on solving the three main problems of water, electricity and roads.

Giving a hint at Barisan’s Aku Janji, he said among them, it promises free education for Sabahans up to university level.
