PAS aims to contest at least 15 seats in the coming Sabah state election, doubling its earlier target of seven.
Sabah PAS chief Aliakbar Gulasan said the party has finalised its list of candidates and will continue preparing its machinery for the state polls, Berita Harian reported.
“We have finalised our candidates list. Seat negotiations within Perikatan Nasional are ongoing and are now in their final stage.
“We are not aiming for too many seats. At most, I would say we are looking at around 15 (state) constituencies,” he was quoted as saying.
He also said PAS had submitted its proposed candidates list to its syura council, expressing confidence that it would be approved.
On Sept 13, PAS vice-president Amar Abdullah said the party was planning to contest seven seats in the election, which is expected to be held by the end of this year.
