Sabah General Election: 'Disciplined' machinery giving BN early edge, says Bung Moktar

KINABATANGAN: Sabah Barisan Nasional has emerged as one of the most organised and stable coalitions contesting in the Sabah general election.

Its chairman, Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, said the coalition’s momentum could be seen across almost all key constituencies, where its district polling centre teams and operations in the interiors displayed far better coordination compared to the first few days of the campaign.

“I am very satisfied with the progress of our campaign in all locations. Our candidates are moving with discipline, rhythm and strength, giving Sabah the advantage to dominate the crucial weeks and days leading up to polling day,” he said in a statement.

Over the past week, candidates have been actively engaging voters through walkabouts, programmes, ceramah and close-up interactions, supported by a more structured communication approach and their readiness to reach grassroots communities.

Bung Moktar, who is also the candidate for Lamag, said BN’s edge in this early phase is not only due to strong mobilisation but also its ability to shape public conversations and maintain a consistent message across constituencies.

“The BN machinery across Sabah is not just moving… they are leading. We command the narrative, we command the public’s attention, and we have proven that BN remains the most organised party in Sabah,” he said.

He added that the coalition’s machinery continues to refine its coordination to ensure a more aggressive and high-impact campaign in the second week.

Sabah BN is contesting 45 seats in the Nov 29 election.
