KOTA KINABALU: A retired civil servant who allegedly threatened a pathologist who testified at the inquest of the late Zara Qairina Mahathir has been remanded for 24 hours.
Sabah police commissioner Datuk Jauteh Dikun said the remand order for the 61-year-old was granted by the Tawau court.
“He is expected to be brought to Kota Kinabalu.
“This is because the case was lodged here; therefore, the remand should be held in Kota Kinabalu.
“However, we could remand him for 24 hours (in Tawau) before we apply for another one in the Kota Kinabalu court,” he told NSTP.
