KUALA LUMPUR: The Madani government has taken significant steps this year to reform institutions, tighten governance and boost efficiency in public service delivery, says Datuk Seri Ibrahim.

The Prime Minister said the steps include the Government Procurement Bill, which curtails the powers of the Finance Minister and allows procurement decisions to be independently reviewed and challenged.

He said, at the same time, the civil service has been improved in terms of efficiency, while audit transparency has been strengthened.

“These measures aim to safeguard public spending, streamline administrative processes, and prevent financial leakages from the outset.

“The reforms have led to faster service delivery, more transparent financial monitoring, and earlier detection of corruption risks,” he said in a Facebook post on Thursday (Dec 25).

added that investor confidence has been restored, and Malaysia’s competitiveness on the global stage has been improved.
