A video has surfaced on social media recently, which depicts a state ruler offering cash aid to the public.
Is there any truth to the claims?

The Pahang Palace said a video on social media has come to their attention, which appears to portray the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
It said that the video posted on TikTok under the handle of a “Datuk Mohd Noor” is fake and generated with artificial intelligence (AI).
“The video is fake and misuses His Majesty’s image to defraud and deceive the public.
“The Palace wishes to clarify that His Majesty does not have any personal social media accounts.
“All official activities or orders of His Majesty are only posted on the “Kesultanan Pahang” social media platforms, which includes an official account on Facebook which has about 736,000 followers,” the Pahang Palace said in a statement on Aug 27.
It also advised the public not to share the video or click on any related links.
The Palace added that they maintain accounts on on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X, while the official portal is istanapahang.my.
