A video of the aftermath has been circulating online showing a man speaking on his mobile phone after the crash, while a woman is seen opening the rear door of a luxury minivan to check on another female passenger.

The footage also captures the first woman calmly walking to another car before leaving the scene.

A spokesperson for the Melaka Police reported that an incident occurred at 10.58am on Friday (Aug 15) on Jalan Merdeka in Taman Melaka Raya.

The police are currently seeking the driver of a luxury minivan, as the man has not yet come forward to file a police report.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the luxury minivan skidded before colliding with three parked cars.

The vehicle was reportedly travelling from Bandar Hilir to a hotel when the accident happened.

Melaka police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Dzulkhairi Mukhtar stated that two vehicle owners, a 45-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, filed police reports on the same day, but no injuries were reported.

The case is currently under investigation.
