An supreme council member has falsely accused DAP and MCA of not speaking up on the death of 13-year-old Sabah student Zara Qairina Mahathir.

Puad Zarkashi had raised this in criticising MCA former vice-president Ti Lian Ker for claiming that appeared more rational compared to Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh and former law minister Zaid Ibrahim for agreeing with him.

“Don’t assume that is somehow more ‘dignified’ (berhemah) just because Akmal defended the Malaysian flag from being flown upside down. Akmal has never framed the flag issue as a racial matter.
