“The victim was found to be not pregnant after a post-mortem was conducted,” said Balik Pulau OCPD Asst Comm Sazalee Adam.

Earlier, police said investigations found that the victim, who died after falling from the 28th floor of the condominium, had been under emotional stress and was believed to be five months pregnant.

The victim, identified as Cheah Sze Wei, was found in an anime costume when residents discovered her lying motionless on the ground floor at about 9.10pm.

Forensic checks in the second bedroom of her unit revealed an open window.

Her MyKad and a mobile phone, believed to be hers, were also found in the room.

Investigations confirmed that she lived in the unit with her mother.

Police forensic teams from Penang police headquarters examined the unit and surrounding area but found no signs of foul play.
